Trimite Global Coatings have announced Catherine Hopkins as their new Commercial Director responsible for operations, purchasing and HR.
The former AkzoNobel Executive brings with her over 20 years of supply chain experience across both the manufacturing and retail sectors. In her most recent role Catherine had a team of 120 staff implementing purchasing strategy across 26 countries.
Catherine’s early career was at Sainsbury’s where she started on the graduate management programme and quickly had responsibility within the supply chain forecasting team. In 2004 Catherine moved to ICI Paints as a planning manager across the UK and Ireland and was responsible for a team of 60 before the company was acquired by AkzoNobel in January 2008.
Catherine brings a unique blend of commercial and operational experience to Trimite having worked for two global organisations in a number of roles. Catherine looks forward to contributing to the Trimite board in three very important areas of our operations. Her Six Sigma knowledge will compliment the group’s strategy for improving its performance over the next three years.
Catherine said of her new appointment, “I want to be part of a positive future of Trimite. I know that Trimite has the team, knowledge and infrastructure in place to achieve this.”
