Pretreatments

Trimite has been a leading supplier of process chemicals to the metal pretreatment and plating industries for many years. Our acquisition of Asbury Brodie in 2008 added a purpose built manufacturing site together with considerable additional technical expertise.

Our Paintbond® iron, zinc and multi-metal phosphate conversion coatings provide enhanced adhesion qualities for paint and polymer coatings applied over hot and cold rolled steel, extruded profiles, light metal castings and galvanised materials.

Approved chromate and chrome-free pretreatments are available for aluminium sheet, extrusions and castings, together with light metal alloys such as mazac.

Our technical team are available to provide practical help and advice on the use of all of our products either on their own or as part of a complete coating system.
